Below is a transcription of the Strathdon parish records (OPR) from 1675 to 1799. It is an extracted transciption so only gives entries which refer to records pertaining to Allanachs, or events at which they acted as witnesses. Credit to previous researchers (namely Suzanne Walker and Deb O’Reilly) who have worked previously on the transcriptions for Strathdon parish (unfortunately the sites are no longer active to link to) and whose work has been the basis for the focused Allanach entries below.

June 13th – William Allanach and Anna [Gordon] were proclaimed this day pro 3lie
June 13th – The Session being met and constitute by prayer compeared Elspet Allanach and being [interogate] anent the delation formerly [xxx] [xxx] against her acknowledged [she was] and that that child was begot in uncleanness by John Chruy in Brassagah[xx]. The officer was appointed to cite the sd John Chruy to attend the Session next Lord=s day and the sd Elspet was cited [apud acta?] to attend that day=s meeting likewise. Closed wt prayer
June 20th – It being found that James Laury and Anna Kannach both in this parish and that Peter Allanach and Margaret Ferriss both in this parish and that William McRobert and Isabel Ross were matrimonially contracted they were proclaimed this day pro 1mo
June 20th – Compeared John Chruy and acknowledged his guilt with the sd Elspet Chruy (Allanach?) and as herd to her former declaration that John Chruy was the father of her child and was appointed to enter upon the profession of repentance at next Lord=s day.
June 27th – Peter Allanach and Margaret Ferres were proclaimed pro 2de
June 27th – Alexander Allanach Treasurer to the sd Session upon and [accepted] by Wm Ogg in Little Inverearnan [that] the sum of 100 marks which the Session agreed to sustain and receive as payment and Impowered the Treasurer and Box[Maker] to discharge her accordingly
June 27th – he sd day Alexr Allenach represented to the Session that B[athia] Allanach relict to the deceast Robert Forbes sometime in Skellater a charitably disposed person was inclined to mortify and [xxx] a part for the behoof of the poor of the parish of Strathdone the sum of 52 Marks Scots money contained in two [bids?] granted to her the one by James Forbes in Wester Skellater containing 40 Marks the other by Alexr Michy in Castletone of Curgarff containing 12 Marks. The Session appointed Alex Allanach their Box Master to [xxx]mack with the forsd debitors and renew Bills in the Sessions name for the above mentioned sums and to grant the receipt of the sd 52 Marks to the sd Bythia Allanach and thank her in the Sessions name
