William is buried at Woodlawn Cemetery in Kent County, New Brunswick, Canada. On the 29th October 1985, an obituary is placed in the Moncton Times.
William T. ALLANACH was born at Brown’s Shipyard (Kent Co.) N.B., December 1866 and was 28 years and 10 mos. old at the time of his death, Oct. 14th, 1895. His parents were Duncan ALLANACH and Jessie ALLANACH, their family consisting of nine children. His life was an uneventful one, working at common labor until 1885 when he went into the United States service at the training station at Newport, R.I. where he remained for two years. Going from that place to Westport, Pennsylvania, he engaged to work for I.L. Emery in whose service as lumberman he continued for seven years. Last June he again entered the service of Uncle Sam at his old quarters, the Newport training station, filling the position of fireman. Less than four weeks ago, after passing a satisfactory examination, he was promoted to first class firemanship. At the time of his death Mr. Allanach was engaged in the dynamo dept. On. October 8, 1895 his brother, Edward ALLANACH received a letter from him, giving information of his recent promotion, with the statement that he was in the best of health and other personal news. On the afternoon of Oct. 14, Edward received a telegram from Newport, R.I. announcing his brother’s death. William T. Allanach was of a retiring disposition, modest in the extreme, extremely warm in his friendship. His aged mother survives him. Two of his brother, Alexander ALLANACH and Edward ALLANACH reside at Westport, Pa., the latter bring the body to Little River, Buctouche for interment. Samuel ALLANACH and Edward T. ALLANACH wish to thank Mr. Hall of the Moncton & Buctouche Railway for his kindness in holding his train two hours to bring the corpse of their brother to Buctouche.
